Hair transplant: my own experience
When the decision was made, the jitters were huge. Precisely because I had absolutely no idea how exactly the treatment was carried out. So I had to ask around to get my nervousness under control. In addition to hundreds of videos, I quickly came across the most important question, which was also the hardest: which clinic is the best? I asked around in my circle of friends and quickly found an acquaintance who had his treatment carried out at Hairmedic in Dortmund . On the Internet I came across more and more indications that the FUE method (without scar) should be carried out there in an excellent way. That was of course the main thing for me. I wanted to have my receding hairline closed with as few visible scars as possible. This is how the appointment came about.
How much does a hair transplant cost?
I was absolutely aware that this is a cosmetic operation that will not be cheap. I had some prices sent to me and thoroughly compared the clinics and reviews . Here I found that some reviews were massively outdated and some clinics had even changed extremely for the better. Depending on the number of grafts (hair roots with several hairs) , all German clinics range between 4000 and 8000 euros . Like I said, it really depends on the area. In Turkey, however, you can do business from as little as 1500 euros. Personally, it was extremely important to me that I can drive home afterwards, have a direct contact person who is around the corner and who also speaks my language. So it finally became the Hairmedic Clinic in Dortmund. Plan: Transplant 3500 grafts from the back of the head into the light areas.
treatment / surgery
The whole procedure took about 9 hours (including food, breaks and conversations) . I could arrive in the morning and jet back home in the evening. The doctor started with the anesthetic injections, which admittedly hurt. The head was quickly numbed and the removal began at the back of the head. While the individual grafts were being reinserted, I watched TV, more precisely "Shopping Queen" was running.
